There’s A New Sheriff In Town

Sarah | future FBI agent

Being a very curious person I'm interested in a lot of things. Out of all those things the thing that most interests me is the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I want to be in the FBI because I can help people that are in need of it. The FBI interests me because you can do good and it seems fun. The FBI is challenging and can be hard, but it can be a good experience. That's why I want to join the FBI.

To join the FBI, you have to earn a high school diploma. You also have to be a U.S citizen or a Northern Mariana Island citizen. You have to be 23 to 37 years of age to qualify. You must have a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. There are a lot of requirements to become a FBI agent. You have to go and get a lot of training like Quantico and other hard training. You have to have 15 to 16 weeks of training. After training FBI agents earn from $61,100 to $69,900 dollars a year.

I think there will be a lot of open positions in the FBI because of all of the terrorist attacks and their threats by video and the cyber threats. The FBI would probably not be asking people to retire and won't fire or cut people from their job. They will need agents to help them fight all the terrorist's attacks and other bad people.

One step I took to learn more about the FBI is research on the internet on two websites which are www.exite.com, and www.fbiagentedu.org. Another step I took is going to a presentation at my school. That is all I learned about the FBI.
