Admission Requirements

  • Completed application for admission
  • Submit $42 non-refundable application fee, online
  • Official high school transcript
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Official ACT Composite score of 17 or higher; or official SAT score of 900 (Evidence-Based Reading + Writing total score, taken after March 2016)

NOTE: As a result of COVID-19, first time incoming freshmen in the top 25% of their graduating class, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, will be automatically admitted. Additionally, these students will not need to present ACT or SAT scores as part of the admissions process. The TSI placement exam will still be required.

Undocumented high school students must have a diploma or GED from a public or private high school in the State of Texas, and:

  • must have resided in Texas at least three consecutive years before date of graduation or receipt of GED
  • must sign an Affidavit of Intent to file an application to become a permanent resident at their earliest opportunity
