Texas families and businesses can save on the purchase of certain water- and energy-efficient products during the state’s Water-Efficient Products and ENERGY STAR® sales tax holidays. Both take place Saturday, May 26, through Monday, May 28.
Saving energy and water is especially important with Texas’ hot summers. Much of our state is already in drought and we know those triple-digit temperatures are just days away. The Energy Star and Water-Efficient Products sales tax holidays, taking place May 26th through the 28th, can help all Texans now and later. Our office estimates Texas shoppers will save an estimated $10.7 million in state and local sales tax during the Memorial Day weekend tax holidays.
