Manufacturing is a vital component in the machine that is Texas’ diverse economy. Chemical, high tech, automotive and other advanced manufacturing operations thrive across our state. Technological improvements and efficiencies have created employment declines but financial gain: Texas’ manufacturing contributed $226 billion to our state gross domestic product (GDP) in 2016.

In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
