STRATEGY FOR ACHIEVING GOALS

Initiate an energy conservation campaign to remind employees to cut off lights in unoccupied rooms. Also, based upon budgetary allowances, update the insulation, HVAC systems and install new LED lighting in Railroad Commission owned buildings.

IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE

Based upon budgetary restraints, the Railroad Commission has been unable to move forward with building improvements for self-owned buildings.

AGENCY FINANCE STRATEGY

RRC Facilities will work with Texas Facilities Commission to build a budget for building improvements that can be submitted to leadership for review and approval.

EMPLOYEE AWARENESS PLAN

Employees receive emails to remind them to turn off lights in unoccupied rooms.

Evaluate after-hours usage. Save energy by adjusting building operating hours to reflect actual tenant usage.
