The Comptroller's Manual for the Appraisal of Agricultural Land is in the revision process to include statutory changes from the 85th Texas Legislature and generally non-substantive changes to improve clarity.
This version of the proposed revisions is posted for comments through Oct. 26, 2018. Please send any comments you may have regarding the proposed manual to us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All comments received by Oct. 26, 2018, will be reviewed, addressed and included in the next proposed version as appropriate.
Note: This informal comment period is not part of the rule-making process. The proposed rule and accompanying publication will be posted in the Texas Register with a formal 30-day comment period.
Tax Code Section 23.52(d) requires the Comptroller's office to adopt the final version of the manual by rule with review and counsel of the Department of Agriculture.
In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
