City Sales and Use Tax

The following cities have changed their legal name:

Special Purpose District (SPD) Sales and Use Tax

The following special purpose district (SPD) has imposed a local sales and use tax:

The boundaries of the Hamlin Municipal Development District are the same as the boundaries for the City of Hamlin.

The following special purpose district has withdrawn from the Austin Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA):

The Travis County Emergency Services District No. 14 is located in the northern portion of Travis County. The district voted to withdraw from the Austin MTA effective June 30, 2017. The district does not include any area within the cities of Austin, Volente, Jonestown, Cedar Park or Leander. Unincorporated areas of Travis County in ZIP Codes 78613, 78641 and 78726 are partially located within the district. **Addendum**

Hill County Emergency Services District No. 2

The Hill County Emergency Services District No. 2, located in Hill County excluding the cities of Hillsboro and Whitney, voted to adopt 1/2% sales and use tax in certain incorporated city limits and 1% sales and use tax in the unincorporated portions of the district. The district excludes, for sales tax purposes, the cities of Abbott, Carl’s Corner, Hubbard, Itasca and Malone. To administer the two sales tax rates, the two parts of the district are described below with the appropriate local code and sales tax rate.

The Hill County Emergency Services District No. 2-A is the unincorporated area of the district throughout Hill County. The district excludes any area in any incorporated city in Hill County. Contact the district representative at 254-498-0222 for additional boundary information.
