Scanning the Path to Be a Neurologist

Maximiliano | future neurologist

When I was two and three I had seizures. Whenever we went to go check in with my doctor I could see the waves of my brain waves. Everything is fine now, but I would like to know more about how my brain works. If possible, I would like to prevent seizures and other brain dysfunctions. I would like to go to college and study different parts of the body. However, I would like to specialize in the brain. To be this kind of doctor I would have to be either a neurologist, Neuropharmacologist or a neurosurgeon. The education I need for a neurologist (the one I would like to be) is a medical degree. They make about one-hundred ninety thousand dollars annually, so I could support a family. My aim is to go to the University Of Texas at Austin. They have a great education system and will definitely help me. There are about three million people in the USA alone that have epilepsy. If I can reduce that then I believe the world will be a better place for me and other people. This is just one of many of the diseases that I can prevent as a neurologist.
