The 19-county Metroplex region covers about 15,000 square miles, stretching from Oklahoma south to the Brazos River and from the Cedar Creek Reservoir in the east to Possum Kingdom Lake in the west.

THE METROPLEX REGION’S POPULATION ROSE 21% BETWEEN 2014 AND 2024.
Kaufman and Rockwall counties saw the greatest percentage gains at 78.4% and 57.3%, respectively.
EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT
IN 2023, 87.4% OF THE REGION HAD AT LEAST A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND 37.8% HAD EARNED A BACHELOR’S DEGREE.
