This is a quick guide to the history and current status of Texas state revenue sources. In an effort to provide the deepest historical perspective based on the most reliable and consistent data, the report uses the year 1972 as the starting point for tracking all legislative and economic changes affecting the state’s revenue stream.
In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
