AGENCY PROGRESS REPORT

Utility and water have been reduced due to the agency having people work remote or rotate days in office.

EMPLOYEE AWARENESS PLAN

To support energy efficiencies at this location, Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs has partnered with Texas Facilities Commission in order to implement cost saving devices where applicable, including water usage. We encourage employees to recycle, turn off lights, computers, and office equipment when leaving offices. We continue to ensure heating and air condition vents are not blocked and report water leaks immediately.

Install monitor power-management software. U.S. companies waste more than $1 billion annually on electricity for computer monitors that are not in use. Install power-management software for computer monitors, central processing units (CPUs) and hard drives to save on electricity costs.
