Texas State Expenditures by County shows where state dollars are spent. It lists state expenditures by agency and type of expenditure in each county and for the 24 council of governments regions. The report’s introduction explains the estimation method and lists the major categories of expenditures.
This report was created using information from the state’s Uniform Statewide Accounting System. It reflects actual net expenditures of funds from accounts held in the State Treasury during the state’s fiscal year, Sept. 1 through Aug. 31. For certain expenditures, the Comptroller’s office used information provided by individual state agencies to estimate their distribution to the counties.
In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
