Defender of Texas Law

Ashton – future Texas game warden

My name is Ashton and I would like to be a Texas Game Warden. I was inspired by the television show called Lone Star Law. I want to become a game warden because I like to save and protect the animals in the state of Texas and to protect and defend the laws of Texas. Watching the television allowed me to see what a Texas game warden does on a daily basis.

To become a Texas game warden I have to complete a bachelor's degree in any subject. I will probably get my degree in criminal justice. After my bachelor's degree, I have to achieve a peace officer license. This includes 688 hours of class room training and a license exam. Then, I will have to complete the Texas game warden academy. The last thing to complete is the physical readiness test. Then I am ready to start my career as a Texas Game Warden.

With years of experience and hard work, I hope to become a Texas game warden VI which is the highest level anyone can achieve as a game warden. I learned what it takes to become a game warden in Texas by watching the television show and doing some research on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.
