Description

Over one hundred scholarships of up to $5,000 per year for under- represented minority students planning to pursue undergraduate college degrees in the chemical sciences, including 2-year chemical technology programs. Applicants must meet the following requirements: be in a minority group; be citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.; high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, environmental science, toxicology, forensic chemistry or other disciplines centered on chemical science; attend an accredited college or university full-time; demonstrate high achievement in chemistry or science; and show evidence of financial need for scholarship aid according to FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) guidelines.

Selection based on: interest in the chemical sciences, demonstrated potential for success, overall GPA of 3.0 or better, leadership skills, participation in community service and extracurricular activities and, recommendations, review of transcripts and personal statements.
