Description

Four-year renewable scholarship available to high school seniors planning to attend college, to current college students completely their undergraduate degrees, to college students who plan to attend graduate school, and to students already attending graduate school. Students who have been out of school and who are returning to school after an extended absence are encouraged to apply. Students attending trade school shall be eligible if student will receive a degree, certification, or designation that will qualify the student for a job in their field of study.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Citizen of the United States
• Resident of Texas for 12 consecutive months prior to application submission
• Person of good character
• Per Mrs. Wischer's instructions, preference given to applicants who are Christians and attend church regularly
• Demonstration of academic potential and ability
• Demonstration of financial assistance need
• Planned enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a not-for-profit college or university OR a non- profit vocational school in the upcoming fall semester; institution must be located with the United States
• Earned a minimum 3.2 GPA out of a 4.0 GPA scale

Students must maintain full-time status and ear a minimum of 12 hours each semester (undergraduate students) or 6 hours each semester (graduate students), as well as earn a GPA of at least 3.0 each academic semester for renewal eligibility. Scholarship is renewable for up to but not to exceed four years of academic work.
