Description

Scholarships ranging from $1000 to $10,000 and other awards, as announced, are available to high school seniors who are United States citizens planning careers in government (local, state, or federal) service. Students must submit essays not exceeding 300 words, typed and double spaced, telling why they want to enter government service. Essay must also include inspiration derived from the leadership of George Washington in his famous crossing of the Delaware. Recommendations are required. Winners shall agree to attend the awards ceremony.
