Texas Medical Excellence Scholarship is intended to support and empower Students in Texas who are pursing education in the medical field by awarding one (1) applicant $2,500 to be used toward tuition and educational expenses.

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Student must be a current resident of Texas.
• Applicant must be an undergraduate or postgraduate medical student pursing a degree/path in a medicine-related field at an institution of higher learning in any location or online.*
• Applicant must submit one (1) letter of recommendation with valid contact information and a professional headshot of themselves.
• Student must complete the application form, provided original essay answers (note: all essays will be screened for AI-generated content), and upload a completed application, a professional headshot of themselves, and one (1) letter of reference.
• Winning applicant consents to the public mention of their name and use of their photo.

*Eligible degrees include: Doctorate (MD,DO,DPM,DMD,OD,PsyD,PharmD,DCM,DS, DPT,DSN,DNP), Nursing (RN,NP,CNM,CRNA), Master's (MPH,MM,MMS,MN,MNA,MPharm,MPSA,MSN,MSM), Physicians Assistant (PA,PA-C).

Scholarship application period opens: March 9 Applications accepted: March 9 - June 5 Applications reviewed and narrowed by Scholarship Committee, winner selected: June 8 - June 29 Winner announced and notified: July 6
