The TexStats Regional Dashboard lets users investigate many aspects of Texas’ 12 economic regions, including demographics, infrastructure, education, jobs and health care availability. The dashboard updates automatically when new data are released.

Where the Money Comes From and Where It Goes

The State Revenue and Expenditures dashboard helps taxpayers, researchers and policymakers see and understand government data with new perspectives. The tool provides different viewing options, and allows you to download the data.

  • Revenues – Explore 25 state revenue categories and see how funds are allocated through associated Comptroller objects, agencies and appropriations.
  • Expenditures – Select and compare 18 different state expenditure categories to see how the state allocates money sources to best serve its citizens.

State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) Reporting

Utilities and local governments must report to SECO regarding efforts to reduce energy consumption. Learn more about SECO reporting.

Property Tax Data Reports and Surveys

The Comptroller's Property Tax division publishes several reports including the Appraisal District Ratio Study Report, the Biennial Report, and the Report on Cost of Property Tax Exemption for 100 Percent Disabled Veterans.

The Tax Code also requires the Comptroller's office administer surveys and issue reports summarizing the data reported through those surveys. The agency compiles this information and publishes it here.
