EMPLOYEE AWARENESS PLAN

Texas A&M Experiment Station (TEES) strives to be a good tenant and has been proactively involved in supporting the efficiency and conservation programs and activities of those whose facilities we occupy. Texas A&M University (TAMU) has an Energy Stewardship Program, which includes an Energy Stewardship Team, TAMU Utilities & Energy Services Website, and an Energy Action Plan.

TEES continues its proactive involvement in the energy conservation activities at TAMU. As a member of The Texas A&M University System, TEES utilizes the Utilities & Energy Services website which includes a reporting system for energy waste (http://utilities.tamu.edu/report-energy-waste/).

TEES continues to communicate information to our employees through the TAMU-Energy Stewardship Program, which includes newspaper articles, “Texas A&M Today” emails, as well as other resource material.

Install monitor power-management software. U.S. companies waste more than $1 billion annually on electricity for computer monitors that are not in use. Install power-management software for computer monitors, central processing units (CPUs) and hard drives to save on electricity costs.
