A continuing education (CE) program is a workshop, forum, seminar or other presentation that lasts no more than two days. Conference programs also fall into this category and follow the same approval process. Programs must fall within one of the following eight topics to qualify for CE credit:
TDLR-approved CE providers may request program approval by submitting Comptroller Form 50-769, Continuing Education Program – Approval Request (PDF), and supporting materials to PTAD a minimum of 30 calendar days prior to the date of the program. The Comptroller’s office will approve, deny or ask for more information to determine the number of CE credit hours and forwards the determination to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
PTAD approves CE credit on an hour-for-hour basis for programs that submit timed agendas and rounds down to the closest quarter hour for CE credit. CE program approvals are valid for one year from the approval date. Programs are not automatically renewed and the Comptroller’s office is not responsible for notifying providers of program expirations.
For additional information on the CE program approval process and additional information on qualifying topics, see the Comptroller’s Guidelines for Education Approval (PDF) .
Below are links with lists of approved CE programs with sponsor contact information. This is not an endorsement of these programs, but a compilation of the programs submitted and approved through the Comptroller's Continuing Education Program Approval Process.
Below is a list of approved programs listed by the date the program is scheduled to occur. Most often these include upcoming chapter meetings, seminars and conferences. This is not an all-inclusive list of property tax professional CE opportunities but does include many available programs.
While PTAD strives for accuracy in this list, it is not responsible for program cancellations or other program updates that may not have been timely submitted to PTAD. If you have questions regarding CE credit for a particular CE program, please contact the sponsor at the contact number listed.
