Sheriffs' & Constables' Fees Effective Dec. 15, 2017

Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code §118.131, our office compiled the list of fees effective Jan. 1, 2018, as reported by county officials.

Local Government Code §118.131(f) requires each county commissioners court to provide written notice to the Texas Comptroller's office of any changes in the fees set for services performed by the sheriffs' and constables' offices. These fees do not apply to criminal cases.

The Comptroller's office has not independently verified the information and, by including it in the database, does not certify that the information is accurate.

On or before Oct. 16, each county commissioners court adopts the Sheriffs' & Constables' Fees for the next year. A county representative enters the types of fees and amounts into the online system.

Before Dec. 15 of each year, the Comptroller's office compiles, posts and distributes the fee information reported by the counties.

Fees are effective Jan. 1.

The Comptroller's office appreciates the cooperation of county officials throughout the state in the preparation of this report.

If you have any questions about the fees listing, please call us at 800-531-5441, ext. 6-8530 or 512-463-4679.
