Nueces-Jim Wells Emergency Services District No. 5 is located in the western portion of Nueces County and eastern portion of Jim Wells County, which has a county sales and use tax. The district excludes the city of Agua Dulce for sales tax purposes. The Nueces County portion of the district overlaps the Corpus Christi MTA, which has a transit sales and use tax. The unincorporated areas of Nueces and Jim Wells counties in ZIP Codes 78330 and 78332 are partially located in the Nueces-Jim Wells Emergency Services District No. 5. The Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8, located in the central portion of Williamson County, voted to adopt a sales and use tax at two different rates within the district. To administer the two sales tax rates, the two parts of the district are described below with the appropriate local code and tax rate.

The Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8 is located in the central portion of Williamson County. The district does not include any area within the city of Georgetown or areas of the district which are also responsible for collecting and remitting sales and use tax to the city of Georgetown due to a strategic partnership agreement. The unincorporated areas of Williamson County in ZIP Codes 78626, 78627, 78628, 78633, 78634 and 78641 are partially located within the Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8. The Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8-A is the portion of the district located in the unincorporated portion of Williamson County that overlaps the Liberty Hill Library District, which has a special purpose district sales and use tax.
