Economic Development Corporation Reports

Since the adoption of the Development Corporation Act in 1979, Texas law has allowed cities to form economic development corporations (EDCs) to attract businesses and create job opportunities.

State law requires all Type A and Type B EDCs to file an annual report with the Comptroller's office by April 1 of each year, providing data from the previous fiscal year. In each even-numbered year, the Comptroller's office prepares a report for the Legislature summarizing the data submitted by EDCs during the preceding biennium.

The EDC Data Dashboard contains the supporting data for all Economic Development Corporation Reports from 1997 to present.
