Career in Civil Engineering

Noah – future civil engineer

Lately I've been thinking I would like to be a civil engineer. A civil engineer constructs bridges airports and roads. Throughout the years civil engineers they have created amazing buildings such as the largest dam in the world the three gorges dam. Another major project was the delaware aqueduct which is the longest tunnel in the world at 137,000 feet long.

Civil engineering has been a interest of mine for awhile now and I love watching videos to learn more about their ideas and how they work. Now they offer more classes and one of my classes is engineering where we built turbines and just recently a concrete block. In the block project we built a mold and had a couple of constraints, which we were very good at being in the middle and building the best block. I earned a hundred on the block which withstood 150 lbs of tension force.

To be a civil engineer you need a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. One in 4 civil engineers have a master's degree. You also need a state licence. I hope to be a planner for companies and being able to help create amazing buildings.

I do not know what the future holds but I do know that I want to be able to make new ideas that benefit everybody and the environment.
