The Office of Vehicle Fleet Management (OVFM) is responsible for the creation and regular updating of several publications key to the efficient and managed stewardship of state fleet resources. The primary documents generated by OVFM are provided through links below. For information about historical documents not provided in the following links please contact OVFM staff.
The OVFM develops the State of the Fleet Report which summarizes and analyzes state fleet data provided by state agencies and institutions of higher education.
Updated under the guidance of the Comptroller's Statewide Procurement Division and with assistance from the departments of transportation, public safety, health and human services, parks and wildlife, and criminal justice, along with the University of Texas, and Texas A&M University, the plan provides information pertaining to fleet use, composition, maintenance, and reporting.
State agency and university fleet managers may use the OVFM website for training employees on the use of TxFS.
For training assistance, please email OVFM.
In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
