Located between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, DFW is one of the nation’s largest commercial airline hubs. DFW’s cargo transport operations include multiple runways, freight forwarding, export packing and cold storage facilities.
DFW is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Customs District, which includes Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland International Airport, Fort Worth Alliance Airport, Dallas Love Field Airport, Addison Airport–Dallas, Austin and San Antonio.
Shipping activity in 2024 through this airport accounted for $62.6 billion in trade, 148 percent more than in 2003 ($25.2 billion).
This airport’s trade leads all airport trade value in Texas, accounting for more than 72 percent of trade through Texas airports.
