Laredo

Ports of entry within the state of Texas accounted for over $1 trillion in international trade in 2024. Texas has 32 official ports of entry that serve as critical gateways to global trade. Each port — whether an airport, land port or seaport — serves many domestic and international economic activities across multiple industries. Each Texas port plays a distinctive role in the state’s transportation network and contributes to the state and local economies.

Port Laredo had 28,035,793 total border crossings in 2024, the most among Texas land ports of entry in 2024. Total crossings were up 9.8 percent compared to 2019.

Laredo’s border crossings form one of 11 land ports along Texas’ 1,254-mile border with Mexico. Port Laredo facilitated 64 percent of trade through Texas’ land ports and 32 percent of the state’s total trade in 2024.

Port Laredo includes multiple crossings that facilitate commercial trade and pedestrian travel — the World Trade Bridge, the Colombia Solidarity Bridge, the Gateway of the Americas Bridge and the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge.
