    Ernest A. Mantzel Foundation
       An $8,000 loan is being offered to undergraduates and
       graduates enrolled full-time at any Texas College or 
       University.
       Deadline: Until funds are exhausted

    Vandal & Winifred Mercer Foundation
       Several $2,500 loans will be awarded to graduating high
       school seniors entering college as a Freshman and college 
       students attending TAMU Galveston or College Station
       Determined by high school rank in relation to SAT/ACT scores:
          Top 10% of class - any score acceptable
          Next 15% of class - SAT of 1200 and/or ACT of 19
          Lower three quarters - SAT of 1500 and/or ACT of 24
       Deadline: January 1 to March 31

    Jack & Katherine Pearce Foundation
       $8,000 loans offered to a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident and  
       resident of Galveston, Texas, who is a graduate of a Galveston High 
       School, or attended a Galveston elementary school and graduated from
       a Prep School.
       Deadline: Accepting applications year round
