Applicants must have bilateral hearing loss at 60dB or higher diagnosed before age 4; have a minimum GPA of 3.25 unweighted; attend a mainstream university in pursuit of a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree; and show great character and leadership potential. Financial need is not relevant, but the programs are highly competitive. Select scholarships will not be offered for the 2020-2021 school year. In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
