To qualify, the student must be economically disadvantaged and agree to work for TxDOT for two years immediately following graduation. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), a minimum of 900 on the SAT, or a minimum of 21 on the ACT. Students already enrolled in an undergraduate program are eligible if they meet income and other requirements. Students accepted into the program receive up to $3,000 per semester or $6,000 per academic year, based on financial need.
