programs Minnie Stevens Piper Compendium

The Texas Legislature established the TEXAS Grant to make sure that
well-prepared high school graduates with financial need could go to
college. A TEXAS Grant has been used in past years, for students to
attend any public institution of higher education in Texas. However,
beginning Fall 2014, public community, technical and state colleges
will no longer be able to offer Initial Year (IY) TEXAS Grant awards.
