    Awards totaling $3,000 will be awarded among several
    students.  Applicant must be an incoming first year music student
    pursing the studies of a bowed string instrument (violin, viola, cello, 
    double bass) music as a major (double majors allowed) at a nationally
    recognized music school, college, or university, and have the intention 
    of becoming a professional performing musician. 
    Applicants must be bona fide residents of Greater San Antonio (counties
    Include Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina,
    Wilson) on the date of making application and a for a period of at
    least six (6) months prior to making such application.

    Applications are open between 1 May - 30 June annually by online
    application and video audition.
