*** Awards totaling approximately $3,000 will be awarded among several students. Applicant must be a resident of Texas; studying a bowed string instrument (violin, viola, cello, bass) in classical music with the intention of becoming a professional musician; in need of financial aid (provide evidence); and above all, possess genuine musical talent. Applicants may be under high school age, high school age, or college students. Out-of-state residents are ineligible; however, Texas residents may attend out-of-state music schools and music camps. Annual auditions of selected applicants are held in San Antonio on or about June 1. Application Deadline for audition: April 23

In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari.
