Admission Requirements

  • Apply online at Apply Texas and submit $40 application fee
  • Official High School Transcript mailed directly to Texas A&M-CC

First time freshman must meet one of the following college readiness standards:

  • Successfully complete either the Recommended or Advanced/Distinguished high school program, or curriculum equivalent in content and rigor; or
  • Satisfy ACT's College Readiness Benchmarks; or
  • SAT minimum score of 480 on the Evidence Based Reading and Writing (ERW) test and a minimum score of 530 in Math (no combined score)
  • SAT/ACT scores are optional for first time freshmen.

High School Unit Requirements:

English 4
Laboratory Science 4 (to include at least 1 in Biology, Chemistry or Physics)
Mathematics 4 (must include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and a higher math)
Social Studies 3
Foreign Language 2 (2 credits in one foreign language or 2 in American Sign Language)

Students who do not meet above criteria may have applications reviewed for individual consideration under the Alternative Freshman Admission Review procedure.
